New Treads . . .

We removed the old carpet, and I wanted to improve the old pine steps. I made ‘slip over’ stair covers out of Oak. This allowed me to finish the cover and simply glue it in place. no worries about keeping dogs off of the wood while the finish set. While I was at it, some LED lights were installed.

for the kick plate I used copper colored Aluminum plate with a plexiglass cover.

Then LED lights showed up…..

You may note, the wall color changed. Since I had to cut into the Drywall to run the wiring, It seemed that as long as I was patching drywall, I might as well paint the room, and the stairwell, and the hallway, and the ceiling, and the hall ceiling and I am still paining, Now to touch up the railing . . . it never ends. (I’m OK with that, )
