Homemade Oat Nut Bars – all natural, simple, wholesome and satisfying.

Oat Nut Bars

1 ½ Cup Honey

1 tsp Vanilla

Cinnamon or Pumpkin spice (one small shake)

4 cup Nuts /Seeds

4 cup Oats

Dried Cranberries (3/4 cup or so)

DIRECTIONS

Mix Honey, spice and vanilla in mixer

Food processor – Chop the nuts // small seeds can be whole

Food processor – Chop the cranberries

Put nuts, oats and cranberries in mixer.  Mix

Grease flat cookie sheet – spread mixture out to ½ thick.  Bake for 25 minutes at 275 degrees (convection).  Turn off oven and leave in for another 20 to 30 min.

 Cut into bars after cool. 

Notes:

Nuts- Walnuts are good, also use pecans and almonds  (A mix of different nuts and seeds is the best)  (peanuts = meh) (I have been buying a 1lb bag of unsalted mixed nuts at Menards)

Seeds – Flax seed / Sunflower seed / Sesame seed

1 lb bag of unsalted mixed nuts = 3.5 cups after chopping I then add another 1/2 cup of flax/ sunflower seed 

This is a recipe I came up with because we had a bunch of nuts and some honey.
