The ORW ‘Root Axe’ – New and improved!

or – ‘how to chop a root in a hole’.

Digging post holes is greatly improved with a power auger!!! The biggest obstacle is the occasional tree root. Hacking away at it endlessly with a shovel is not effective. Enter the ROOT AXE ! Created in the scientific development laboratory of the Old Raven Workshop; it is an AXE designed to chop vertically, inside of a post hole. This device will quickly make chopped wood chips out of any tree root that presents a challenge. also works well for heavy clay, buried power lines, cable runs, Telephone wires, sewage pipes, gas lines, water mains and toes.

Adult supervision advised.

Update: I got tired of ‘loosing’ the ax in the work area. A couple of blasts of spray paint later and it is now pretty easy to ‘find’.

10 lbs of chopping fury!!
Power Auger and the Root Axe. (and a ‘root free’ hole)

(think about it – you can’t swing an axe IN a hole. This works really well, and it looks super wicked!)
